Jose O. Castañeda, Jr., is licensed to practice law in Florida, New York and Connecticut. In addition, he is admitted into the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida and the U.S. District Court of Connecticut. He earned a Bachelor of Science from Central Connecticut University and his Juris Doctor from Quinnipac University in 2001.

Mr. Castañeda is a veteran in his field as a well-regarded criminal trial attorney. He has over 17 years of criminal defense and trial experience.  He was a public defender in West Palm Beach, where he gained substantial trial experience successfully representing his clients. His focus is on state criminal and federal criminal cases, such as white-collar crimes and money laundering. In addition, he handles international cases which require multi-national criminal defense assistance or extradition defense. Lastly, he handles bankruptcy, homeowner property insurance defense claims, Ad Tax Valorem dispute and contractual dispute litigation.

In 2009, Mr. Castaneda was selected as a Rising Star in Florida Super Lawyers. He is also a member of the Broward County Hispanic Bar Association. He speaks Spanish and Portuguese (intermediate).
